Talk with MD: This discoloration is most likely a fungal infection. It is very easy for this to occur, and is relatively simple to treat. Have him talk to his doctor or a podiatrist. This will not pass on to a child.

Depends: What is the discoloration from? Is it fungus? Is it dried blood? Or a longitudinal dark band? Either way........Not sure that is a big deal in the grand scheme of having children.
