A member asked:

What are the chances that i could pass my fibromyalgia on to my children?

Small chance: There appears to be a genetic predisposition to the condition-relatives of people with fibromyalgia are more likely to have it. It seems to run in families. In one study, if one twin had the condition, there was a 15% chance the other would have it as well. To answer your question, the exact number is not known but there is a small chance you could pass the condition to your children.

Low: It is possible as some studies have shown a link. That said the rate of it being "passed on" show a very low rate.
