Gum boil, or fistula: Gum boil, or fistula is the drainage establish by the infection to relieve all the exudates. When we have a chronic peridontal abscess or the endodontal abscess, the infection must drain by establishing an epithelial tract to the mucosal surface. This is called the fistula. Once the drainage establish, the abscess usually does not exhibit any pain.

An abscess: This was probably an infection that drained when the abscess burst. She should see a dentist for treatment and to make sure that the cause of the infection is taken care of.
