Is there anything new in treating infection in a jpouch. currently using flagyl. makes me sick to use. infect every three months.

Pouchitis: Referred to as "pouchitis" many times by surgeons. Ciprofloxacin can be used to treat as well. Viral infections are common as well...So just keep in mind that all the antibiotics in the world won't help this. Other less commonly used antibiotics (that i use..Include - rifaximin, Clarithromycin and dificid).
