I've seen a gyno & been given flagyl twice w/ no resolve, now given metronidazole vag gel 2 x a wk for 6 wks. but the directions on the pkg says 1x day for 5 days. do what my doctor says or what the box say i want this stuff gone. 3rd infect in 3 mos?

Follow docs advise: Using the medication as suggested by your doctor, should decrease chances of re-occurrence of the infection. Once the infection clears, if pain is not gone reevaluation by your doctor is important.
