It depends: The possible effects can't be readily enumerated. I recommend a nicotine patch to minimize withdrawal, wt. Gain etc. Go slowly with cutting the nicotine out and land safely and easily. Educate yourself about addiction. Most people are quite ignorant. Some people do best with long term nicotine replacement therapy.

Three phases.: First, withdrawal symptoms - three days or so. Second, bad productive cough -two to eight weeks. Third, fighting urges to restart smoking - forevermore.
