Earache?: Do your ears ring or do you feel you are running a fever? These would point to an ear infection. Most often lower wisdom teeth are not going to affect your ears. Being open longer or wider than usual can make muscles and joints stretch near your ear. Sounds more like an ear infection so first follow up with the dentist and possibly second with an ear nose and throat doctor.

Get post op exam: Although not common, it is possible to get some mild swelling of the eustachian tubes after 3rd molar removal, although its odd to happen starting on day 5. This is also more common when the maxillary teeth are extracted as opposed to only the mandibular teeth. You should follow up with your surgeon to get a proper exam, especially if it doesn't seem to be improving. Best of luck!
