Many possibilities: Including this may not even be a lymph node. Sometimes fatty growths called lipomas could feel this way. Get checked by a doctor who can help you decide if you need to do anything about this.

Small node.: 1 cm is not big, but, cetainly. Needs a thorough check up by an expert.
