Whats the best diet?

Diet?: There is no best diet. No restrictive plan ever works long term. A "diet" usually means that the patient is going to go off of the "diet" when they have lost the weight. Guess what happens then? You go back to the foods you gave up...And you gain the weight back. Most patients then feel like failures, and it's not their fault! reducing food portions, exercise, support for change will help.

no 1 best diet: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.
