Biopsy: The only way to be 100% sure what it is, is to get a piece (biopsy) and look at the tissue under the microscope. So see a board certified plastic surgeon or general surgeon to do the biopsy.

Good morning Doc, my 2 year old daughter has a soft tissue lump, on her right upper arm close to the joint between the arm and shoulder blade. The soft tissue does not provide any discomfort to her in anyway but from time does become itchy?
Would a painful, 3-mo case of calcific shoulder tendonitis in a 75 yr old male be expected to eventually resolve naturally, or would needling or arthroscopy likely be needed to break/flush it out?
