I have positive leukocytes but negative nitrite. i know that this means i probably have a uti. the problem is i can't afford to go to the doctor. sugg?

Culture. : Leukocytes can be present in a urine infection or a non-infectious inflammatory process including kidney or bladder disorders. Urinary frequency, urgency, pain on urination, fever could all be a sign of infection. Only a urine culture can definitively distinguish an infection from a non-infection. A free clinic might be an option if you are under-insured.

Clinic: There are a few clinics for uninsured patients, i would suggest seeing if you could walk in. If not most urgent care clinics will see for cash if you don't have insurance.
