Many possibilities: Let your wife see an internist and be tested for osteoarthritis, rrheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune conditions e.G lupus. Blood tests are in order to check for kidney, liver and heart problems. Xrays would help for diagnosis. God bless you friend!
