A member asked:

After an appendectomy would feeling like you are very hot but actually feeling cold to the touch indicate any possible complications?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: After illness, feeling normal takes time, so you are not active and your hands and feet feel cool, and the rest of you is warm..One common problem after a ruptured or a gangrenous appendix is an abscess in the abdomen . This will have other symptoms than just feeling hot. Urine and chest infections can follow hospitalisation and surgery, call your surgeon if you feel "off", and get an opinion.
