Sounds OK: You can expect to have some pain at the site of the incisions for sure. At those sites, the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall were separated. There will be some scarring and swelling. Regarding the pain where the appendix used to be, it is less clear. Patients often experience some inflammation in the RLQ after this operation. If your symptoms persist for much longer, call your surgeon.

Very normal: the pain on the side of the appendix is related to the inside healing. the pain in the scar is wound healing pain both normal.
