It is: unusual for referred shoulder pain to persist more than a few days after a laparoscopic procedure. You might be developing something serious, such as abscess. Please re-consult your surgeon for specific recommendation.

I had a laparoscopic appendectomy for my appendicitis in early october of 2017, I have healed very well but I have noticed that after I have a bowel movement I get a sharp pain on my lower right side where my appendix was.
I was dx with mucinous borderline tumor, which ruptured during a c-sec. Ovary & tube removed. An abdominal CT scan + enlarged appendix. I underwent appendectomy. Biopsy + chronic inflammation, but was otherwise normal. Recommendations? Prognosis?
