Possibly: Methotrexate, when given intravenously or in high doses, can irritate nerve cells in the peripheral and central nervous systems. There is not much data about small oral doses and cognition. When chemotherapies affect the peripheral system, vitamin e and acetyl L-carnitine have been effective in alleviating symptoms and helping nerve cells heal. It would not be illogical or unsafe to try them.
