Depending on the: "neuro issues" that you referred to, methotrexate has certain known side effects to the brain. Listed in drugs.com and WebMD: (up to 10% incidence) headache, fatigue, drowsiness, vertigo (1% or less) confusion, seizures, effects on speech like dysarthria, aphasia, metallic taste in mouth.
