It's variable: Ganglion cysts can vary in size and how quickly the increase in size or not. The size and change in size is not really of clinical concern. The key in treatment is whether or not it bothers you. If it is painfull or unsightly than i would seek treatment.

Let me explain: Ganglion cyst grow in slow base and grow to be huge some times, sometimes the cyst rupture and go down in size. The old ways of treating the cyst to hit with a book when rupture it go down in size but most of the time come back.
