Usual risks: Not a usual place 2 have 1.With no complicating vascular disease the legs/feet u have no higher risk 4 it's removal. If there is underlying joint disease it may b a mucoid cysts. These r not movable while a cyst of the sheath is a firm bump & painful 2 pressure. Also a benign giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath is on a stalk & is movable. Mucoid & ganglions can recur. Giant cell also but a rare1.

Not: Very risky but as with any surgery could get infection, scar tissue. Since its small i imagine a few sutures bandage and surgical shoe for approx 2 weeks but without seeing it this is a guess.
