Does medication for depression truly help or is it just a short-term solution?

Symptom management: Antidepressant medications are made to manage symptoms of depression, so that you're better able to live your life while working in therapy. Life situations and relationship difficulties can contribute to depression, so working on these is important in determining outcome. Others have no idea about what affects them, which can also be a problem. Outcomes are better combining both treatments.
