Further consult: When there are persisting symptoms not responding to medication, this should be brought to the prescribing physician's attention for possible adjustments in treatment in the context of your personal history and other medication. Often with ptsd, one size or pill does not fit all. Of course combination of psychotherapy and medication is generally better and therapy is very effective for anxiety.

Tx modalities: I would need to know what you are doing to suggest what you should do for your ptsd. Are you involved in cognitive processing therapy (a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that is specific for ptsd)? Have you had a trial of emdr? Do you engange in group or individual psychotherapy? Your treatment can be optomized by adding in other tx modalities if you are relying only on psychotropic meds.
