YES: Running is good for cardiovascular health. Yoga stretching is good isometric exercise and can improve flexibility. For more information re: best exercise for your body type consider dna testing. This can be done through a saliva sample and checked for weight management, cardiovascular health, nutrition, diet, etc. Fyi, as we age more effort is needed to obtain same results achieved when younger.

Yoga is good: Yoga, pilates, or some kind of program to strengthen your core muscles would complement and improve your running. You would also benefit from a program to strengthen your upper body with weight training.
