No, unless...: Basic rule: don't complicate anything by doing more surgery when risk for infection is increased. However if infection risk is well controlled, and gallbladder disease is well established and documented and the surgeon is made aware that you have been suffering from the disease it wouldn't be entirely prohibited. Should not be done in a "preventative" manner, "while the docs in there anyway...".
