Had tonsillectomy 3 weeks ago.there are bumps where the tonsils used to be, 1 on the left, atleast 2 on the right.is it normal?im afraid theyre remnant

Probably normal: During the healing period after tonsillectomy there can be some rough bumps. They might take another month to smooth out. Nothing to worry about. Probably not a remnant, although it is possible.

P/tonsilectomy: At the 3 week point after a tonsillectomy, it is not unusual for the tonsil beds to look irregular. Findings range from white specks of residual scab, redness and normal looking areas, depending on how healing has progressed. Be sure to follow up with your ENT surgeon as scheduled, and ask about your concerns.
