Sortr of: When you have the flu, everything is subject to soreness. Why should gums be different? Headaches, joint pain, muscler pain, sore throat, and even old scars are sometimes sore.

Not common: However sometimes w/ the flu home care suffers and resulting gum problems could result.

Referred pain : Can cause not just the gums but the maxilla or upper jaw and teeth to hurt if there is involvement of sinuses. If there's existing periodontal disease and the immune system is compromised, it will just add insult to the injury.
