Bring her to her doc: I am assuming it is 79y/o not 19 y/o. Shingles typically presents with a painful rash along a segment or dermatome of the body. Since the shingles virus is caused by the virus causing chicken pox, its appearance is similar but restricted along a specific region of the body. In rare occasions there could be ht characteristic symptoms of pain along the nerve distribution w/o vesicular eruption.
