There are multi approach to managing anxiety and that is what you should discuss with your primary clinician if not already instituted. Anxiety could also be managed by counselling, meditation and cognitive behavioral changes that places you in a healthier situation than where you are now. It is important to have adequate fluid intake that may also explain your symptoms with balanced homeostasis.

Anxiety can have underlying physiological causes, for example hyperthyroidism. And addiction to benzodiazepines (Xanax) can be a problem, though it appears you are taking lower dosages. I don't think your anxiety is well controlled. You need to continue to work with your physician. Ask about SSRIs or SNRIs as a goal to eventually come off benzos. Psychotherapy additionally works.
