Depends on condition: The severity if your condition will dictate which option gives you the best success. We can archive wonderful results with invisalign but it still depends on the patient complying with use. See your orthodontist or dentist for a complete evaluation and assessment of your situation.

Get a consultation: Fixing a bite is complex work. It requires dental alignment and then coordination of the upper and lower teeth to each other. Invisalign tends to struggle with bite corrections that are dependent upon elastic wear for correction. Braces and orthopedic appliances (example: herbst or headgear)on the other hand are our best tool for bite correction. See an orthodontist for a consult.

Examination: An examination and assessment with an orthodontic specialist will provide you with an individual opinion based on your needs. Both options might be possible.

Braces: Invisalign, if looked at in a very objective way is a poor substitute for braces. People pressure clinicians for what they think is the most cosmetic therapy, and so even orthodontists play along and provide invisalign. Take away money from the equation, and an orthodontist overwhelmingly will choose the appliance with the most control: braces. Orthodontists feel pressure from gp's doing ortho.

For Adults Invisalig: Generally for adults-invisalign. They are more comfortable, braces shred your lips and tongue. Nearly invisible and work faster. You do not have to change your diet, which is something that you have to do with braces there is a list of foods you can't eat. But invisalign can not fix everything. There are some bad bites that can only be treated with braces. Look into both.

See an orthodontist: You want to choose the treatment that will do the job right. In the long run, you don’t want to have to fix your teeth again. See a board certified orthodontist that uses both methods to straighten teeth.
