My tsh keeps going up no matter what dose of synthroid (thyroxine) i've had total thyroid and have gained 20lbs in 5 months. what's going on? i'm nervous.

Need higher doses : If you bhave had total thyroidectomy you need replacement with synthroid (thyroxine) and the dose needs to be increased to a level when your TSH come to within normal level follw your doctors advice and make sure you take the dose daily at the same time.
