Probably: It is rare that antibody testing which is negative at 11 wks after exposure is likely to become positive, but it never hurts to check again in several months. Be careful. Have safe sex.

HIV) The CDC states that the 4th Antigen and antibody test window period is 18-45 days and the NAT PCR test to be 14 - 33 days. If these tests are taken after the window periods, are they conclusive ? I am confused because some Doctors say 12 weeks?
As per CDC guidelines hiv window period is 6 weeks, is this applicable for both types of hiv 1 & 2 ? as per my understanding 4th generation antigen is only for hiv 1 and only left with antibody which is recommended to test at 3 months?
