ADHD ANXIETY: If there have been mood and anxiety symptoms can get worse with stimulant use.Best will be to discuss with a psychiatrist to manage meds and address anxiety mood symptoms with adhd. There are better med options available to mange these issues.Please tell you doc all the symptoms not paying attention not always mean adhd can happen in bad anxiety mood issues too.Good luck.

Stimulants certainly: Can increase anxiety & even precipitate psychosis. However, side effects of stimulants are gone 24 hrs. After discontinuation. A psychiatrist & psychologist can help you manage your anxiety. List what triggers your irritability & emotional lability & give them a 3-generation family history of bipolar disorder & other mental illness. Some anti-anxiety meds can trigger mania in a person with bpd.
