I stopped sub.abuse but i feel anxiety and depression from overthinking. can ritalin (methylphenidate) contribute, or does my brain need to learn to adjust w/out drugs?

Either way, "overthinking" is not a reason to take any drug, including ritalin (methylphenidate). While Ritalin (methylphenidate) may still be useful for diagnosed adhd, you ; your brain need to adjust without drugs. Good luck.
