In most labs: The normal range for WBC is from 4-10.5. No level is indicative of cancer in and of itself.

WBC counts : Range from about 3500 to 7500, +/- 1000 on top and bottom. Its divided between granulocytes that fight bacteria and engulf debris and lymphocytes which are immune mediators, including antibody production. It can be normal or very abnormal in cancer. The differential can have blasts and abnormal premature elements in leukemias and cancer infesting marrow.
