I have ra, i have had biopsy on my thymus! they then sent me for pet- scan that showed it was enlarged then had mri to see what's up with it?

D/w your doctor: There are different possibilities of a mediastinal mass including thymoma ( benign tumor of thymus)/ thymic carcinoma ( cancer of thymus), lymphoma, lung cancer , sarcoid vs other. The pet/ct and MRI to evaluate the function of the growth and to give your more info about which organ involved/location etc. Biopsy is the key. Ask your doctor and discuss more regarding the result of the biopsy /test.

Not sure: Would depend on what the biopsy showed when the pathologist reviewed it as well as the results of the scans. You need to trust the doctors ordering all of this and maybe see an ENT physician.
