Many choices: Beans, such as lima, pinto, blacked beans to name a few, are high in protein. Nuts also have protein, but you need to watch their fat levels, which make them higher in calories. Milk and dairy products have protein, go for low fat varieties. Egg whites are pure protein. Some grains like quinoa have some protein in them also. There's always tofu or tempeh which are man made protein substitutes.
