See a dentist: Swelling is a common sign of infection. You may have more than one dental problem. You need to see a dentist as soon as possible in order to determine the cause of the swelling and what would be the appropriate treatment. If left untreated, things will only get worse and harder to control, not to mention the possibility of an acute flare-up and spread of infection to other parts of your body.

Dental visit: You probably have a periodontal problem. See your dentist for diagnosis and treatment. Treatment could be as simple as a good cleaning. It's been too long!
