Gum Swelling: Please have it examined by a local dentist. Without knowing anything about that tooth, the surrounding teeth, your health and social habits (smoking) it is not possible to accurately diagnose your issue. No pain and no bleeding does not mean no problem.

Swelling: The rule of thumb is that any area of pain, bleeding, or as in your case, swelling, should be evaluated. May be a tooth or gum issue. May be simple or complex. Please do not ignore. See a local Dentist for differential diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.
