Better off waiting: Liposuction is only truly "successful" if the skin shrinks properly after fat removal. With significant weight loss you might need to have both skin and fat removed depending upon how much weight loss occurs and where your "problem areas" are. You wouldn't want to have liposuction, then a gastric sleeve and find out, after weight loss, that you then need to have skin removed.

After: Liposuction is just to improve the contour not to help with overall weight loss. So once you reach your ideal weight and if you still have localized fat , you may consider liposuction.

In any body contour: Patient, we always advise to lose the extra weight first, whether it's through diet, exercise or gastric surgery. Then, we can help you with the residual fat or loose skin issues, once you've reached your target weight goal.
