Hard to tell: You are looking for an answer from a panel that cannot examine you or see a radiograph of your tooth. If it is only one tooth that is grey, then most probably the nerve went bad and you need root canal therapy... Doesn't matter if you have no pain. You will really soon. See a dentist in your area to be sure since my answer is only an educated guess.
