Frequently: We are able to see the damaging effects of illnesses and eating disorders. Very common is the acid erosion behind the teeth. This comes from the acid in the vomit. We see this in bingeing and bullemia.

Sometimes: The acid from the stomach disolves the enamel of the teeth &leaves the teeth to look like they are melting away. Sometimes can be very apparent.
