It depends: A trigger point is the presence of tiny knots along a muscle fiber and when pressed may causes severe pain (jump sign). If you are saying a non painful lump on your neck and there is no limitation on your range of motion. It is unlikely to be a trigger point. Have it checked by your doctor.
