I've had a swollen hard immovable lump at the right side bottom of my head (top of neck) for a good few years. no change in size. is this concerning?

If you are certain: That this is not part of your skull then i would recommend your doctor evaluate this. Painless, hard, immobile subcutaneous masses should be examined and possibly biopsied.
