Not really: However pain from the wrist may radiate proximally if the radial sensory nerve which crosses the area of tendon that gets sequent aims is also irritated . Make sure the splint does not irritate the nerve or the boney prominsnce as rigid splints can do this and at times the splint is worse than the original problem.
