How to tell if my tooth is chipped?

Look in mirror?: You can try getting a flashlight and look in the mirror. If you can feel it with your tongue then it is chipped. However there is no way to know why it chipped without seeing a dentist. Teeth by design do not chip unless they are put under too much stress or have undiagnosed decay that may weaken the tooth. You may want to see a dentist to find the cause.

See a dentist: If you think it is chipped, it probably is. A dentist can see things that you can't since we use bright lights and magnification. See one. If the chip is very small, it can probably just be polished smooth.
