Larger in size: Permanent teeth are usually larger than baby teeth and the biting edges of the front teeth are scalloped and not straight across.

Many ways: Has to do with size, shape, position, angulation, thickness of the enamel, and many other factors. Ask your dentist. He/she will know immediately by just looking at you or taking an x-ray.

Ask your dentist: Baby teeth can be smaller and have shorter roots. The best way to tell is to have someone who can tell the difference just by looking. A dentist can do that.
