Memories of abuse: With childhood sexual abuse, it can be hard to tell false memories from true ones. (even freud wasn't sure!) this is best worked out with a trusted therapist who can help you deal with the feelings that the memories stir up. It's also worth mentioning that the exact accuracy of such memories is less important for recovery than the emotions involved. Healing is possible & well worth it.

Flahsbacks: Flashbacks are sort of like watching a movie of your past, but you are in it. It can be quite terrifying. You usually don't know what is going on around you during a flashback. With anxiety, your heart is racing, you feel nervous, but no time loss. False memories are hard to sort out. Need therapist.
