Visit your doctor: We predict swallowing problem to improve in 1-2 months after 3-level disc surgery. You should ask your surgeon to confirm that fusion is complete and no problem with hardware such as screws. He/she might order ct scan for that. If fusion and hardware are good, you can request referral to ENT or GI doctor for further evaluation.

Neck surgery: Plate as high as C4 can cause swallowing problems if xray shows it to ne promient itcan be remove once healing of bone complete get aswallowing study to diagnose reason for swallowing difficulty if th playe is in the way it can be removed outcomes from surgery decline with number of levels fused and for axial neck pain best for arm pain at one level.Follow up with surgeon get pain consult.
