Need to see doctor: You should be seen by ENT consultant as this may have several possibilities , ulcer may be benign or other etiology to rule out. Some time abx can give ulcer too.

Yeast infection: If it is across the whole palate it may be yeast imbalances/overgrowth. Antibiotics would make it worse.

Sore Palate: It sounds like an abscess. You are better off seeing an oral surgeon for close evaluation. You might need more than just antibiotic (perhaps incision and drainage or root canal). It should be addressed soon.
