Be supportive: I am assuming that your friend has doctors that she is working with. You can be a good friend by supporting her and helping her do things she may not be able to, such as helping with a meal or cleaning or errands. Also, don't put your own insecurities and fears onto her, she has enough of her own. You don't need to be another person "researching" her condition, she has doctors for this.
