Resorbtion: An edentulous ridge will resorb over time, making wearing a denture more difficult. It can be avoided by obviously maintaining your teeth to prevent from loosing them, making an overdenture on sound root tips, or placing dental implants which keep the bone stimulated. Speak to your dentist regarding your options and cost.
